I purchased GWC when purchasing a used car. I have had the car in the shop 3 times and I have alwasy been the one to pay. But the car is going in the shop again for 4th time.

But this time I am getting an extimate first, and the next day I have made an appointment with an attorney, plus I am filing a complaint with the attorney general in my state. We will see what happens. The dealership is not too far from me, I work with a lot of people at my job and you can believe I have already stated to spread the word. Pissed off in Pennsylvania

I'm actually currently dealing with the "GUARDIAN WARRANTY" corp. as well and that's why I started searching the internet for info on these guys!

My cars transmission recently gave out, but luckily I was still covered by Guardian! I immediately had the car taken to the shop and the mechanic quickly determined that the transmission needed to be replaced, however Guardian had to fight that! For two days they couldn't decide (and in the mean while they would not give me a rental car!) what to do! Finally they decided they would cover the costs (-100 deductible) but they would have to send the mechanic "their" transmission!

It has been a eight days (Thursday to friday the next week) and still no transmission! I've called the dealership and they say they keep on trying to call Guardian but no one will answer, and nor will they return their messages!

So I started calling. It takes about five calls before I can take to my "claim" rep, and when I do I get the biggest attitude ever! They treat customers like crap! Also, everyday I hear the same thing "it should be there tomorrow morning". Now, after eight days hearing the same thing NO TRANSMISSION! Apparently they have agreed to cover the rental car for nine days now (4 more than the contract states), but that is yet to be seen and it will be 12 days by the time Monday comes around and I doubt they will cover those!

I also have not been able to speak with a supervisor upon many requests!

NOW WHAT DO I DO!?!?!

Still no transmission, no returned calls, NO ANSWERS!!!

PLEASE HELP!

Email me at

Thanks!

the warranty is not worthless read what you sign oil leaks are not coverd unless a covered part made it leak and if i was you rob i would be pissed at the dealer that sold it to you read what you sign no such thing as bumper - to -bumper unless you buy new and then drive it off the lot and you loose $5000 in the first 100 miles you put on it a uased car is a great deal and a warranty with guardian is to i have 2 cars with it on the covered everything so far

I purchased a 2002 Land Rover Freelander on November 10, 2008, from a used car lot in Queens, NY. (We Buy Cars.info)

AUgust 10th I had to have it towed to a transmission shop and was told it needed a transmission. Guardian said I would be on the hook for over $2K if I had them rebuild my transmission, because the shop charges $95/hour for labor and Guardian only paid $65/ hour for labor.

The claims representative said they had a used transmission w/ warranty they could send. They sent it and a few days later the tranmission shop calls to tell me that it was a defective tranny, my auto won't go in reverse now! PLaying phone tag with them, and I haven't had my Land Rover since August 10th, 11 days now...........Will write more later.

We bought the Guardian Warranty for our 2006 Mercedes R Class. The car is currently in the shop for a "covered" Timing Chain. They are telling us that we will have to pay $2700 of the repair and they will only pay $2300 because they don't pay what they call "excessive." I am sorry, but a Mercedes costs more to fix than other models. They knew that when they sold us the warranty. We are contacting an attorney. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY!!

I just bought my 99 Montero Sport 5 weeks ago. The dealer sold me this warranty as bumper to bumper. Now I have oil leaking, so I call their claims department and they send me to a shop. I get there and they refuse the claim. They say it's not covered! So I call them and try to cancel since the warranty I paid $400 for is worthless. They say that they only cancel in the event of total loss, repo or theft. WHAT? This company is a FRAUD! and so are the dealers that sell their product.

I am having the same exact issue. Except worse! My mechanic called them with an estimate BEFORE he did anything. The agent issued NO Work Order Number. The ****** agent told my mechanic to do the repairs and call back with a final cost. When he did, they told him I was responsible for the repairs because he didn't wait for an order number. WTF!!! I am beyond pissed on this. Almost $3000 they're trying to skip out on. I too am going to file a complaint with the AG, but please please please keep me posted on what happens with the lawyer.
